Happy Thanksgiving From Our Family to Yours

π οΈ An A-1 Plumber’s Thanksgiving Prayer
In Virginia Beach this morning, I rise with a sigh,
No calls on my phone, no clogged drain to pry.
My wrenches sit waiting like soldiers at rest,
While Suffolk winds whistle—Thanksgiving at its best.
Norfolk’s old shipyards stand sturdy and grand,
Where iron met ocean and shaped this proud land.
Chesapeake’s forests remember a time long before,
When the settlers sought shelter along the Tidewater shore.
Yet here I sit lonely—no hot water heater to fix,
No emergency plumbing call, no busted pipes tricks.
Portsmouth streets quiet, no frantic shout,
No “Help! My basement is flooding—come out!”
But deep down I know—oh, I surely can tell—
Somewhere a pipe’s bursting, not going too well.
A family is fretting, a leak runs amiss,
And I’m out here waiting to bring them some bliss.
For plumbing’s my calling—my craft and my creed,
To show up the moment you’re truly in need.
To tighten, to patch, to restore what you trust,
To be steady and skilled when things go bust.
And though this Thanksgiving I sit by the phone,
I’m grateful this region is where my craft’s known—
Hampton Roads with its history, tides rising and falling,
Where the past meets the present and still keeps on calling.
But most of all thankful—yes, truly I am—
For the A-1 American family, this strong, local clan.
For clients who trust us, for friends who stand near,
For family who guide us through each busy year.
We bow our heads gently for blessings we’ve earned,
For lessons of service and trust we have learned.
So here’s to the homes we keep warm, safe, and dry—
God bless this Thanksgiving beneath a coastal sky.
And if tonight trouble brews in your pipes or your drain,
If your hot water heater quits—if you’re feeling the strain—
Just know there’s a woeful plumber ready to serve,
With A-1 American heart, skill, and nerve.
From our family to yours—God bless, and Happy Thanksgiving.
